According to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, WWE wrestler Chris Benoit (40) and his family were found dead in their Altanta Home.

On Monday afternoon, around 4pm, WWE Wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife, and their seven-year-old son were all found dead in their Fayette County home, the Atlanta-Journal Constitution reported.

The Atlanta-Journal Constitution also reported that the only official word coming from authorities on the scene is that WWE's Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy, and their son Daniel, "weren't shot to death."

However, officials have not yet (Monday 8:3pm EST) released the cause of death of WWE wrestler Chris Benoit and his family.

As a result of the death of WWE's Chris Benoit, the WWE cancelled a live show that was scheduled for Monday night. Instead, they will honor wrestler Chris Benoit on USA Network's regular RAW broadcast.

The fact that WWE's Chris Benoit did not show up at a pay-per-view match the previous night may have been an early clue that something was amiss. According to the WWE Chris Benoit did not perform in Sunday's PPV match due to a "family emergency."

WWE's Chris Benoit Benoit was a native of Canada. He and his family lived in Atlanta, where he made his home when he wrestled for the World Championship Wrestling organization.
