Missing Michigan Woman Recovered from Cass Lake

According to FoxNews.com, Marilou Johnson from Michigan has been missing since June 14^th and investigators think they have a good idea of where she is. The Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel is quoted as saying "With all the evidence and information we have right now, we're confident that she actually is in the lake." The lake Sheriff Mark Hackel is speaking of according to Fox News is that of Cass Lake in Oakland County which is located in Detriot, Michigan.

As of now the Fox News report says that the main suspect in the missing persons case is David J. Wright and as of Monday, Wright had been charged with kidnapping, larceny, and murder. The charges against David Wright came when authorities found Marilou Johnson's handbag. The bag had been found in at least 70 feet of water. The handbag contained the identification cards of Ms. Johnson. After the bag of missing Marilou Johnson was found officials said "We're certain she's there. It's just making sure that we have the right area that we're going to be searching. We're very hopeful we'll find her today."

The Fox News report says that David Wright knew the victim Marilou Johnson and was aware of a financial situation that her and her boyfriend Roger Blanchard were in. Wright then took advantage of the situation. Officials are saying that Wright had visited Johnson and Blanchard's home in Washington Township to provide an estimate on some plumbing work at the residence. Authorities are telling Fox News that Wright then attacked Ms. Johnson in her driveway, cut her throat, loaded her into his van, and then made his way into the home and stole jewelry belonging to Marilou Johnson. The Sheriff is reporting that there were other people inside the home, however no one heard anything dealing with the attack on Ms. Johnson.
