TRAGEDY IN GEORGIA
Authorities in Fayetteville, GA, are still trying to uncover more clues in the evidence of the bizarre double murder suicide that took place in the home of Chris Benoit, the former WWE wrestling superstar who apparently killed his wife and son before killing himself over the weekend of June 23- 24. Autopsies on all the bodies will be performed on Tuesday, June 26th to confirm the evidence already found that proves Benoit did these horrible atrocities before ending his own life.

Benoit's friends and neighbors were alerted to his strange behavior on Sunday when he text-messaged them with some bizarre and strange statements about subjects and topics that are currently unknown. This was then told to employees at WWE who got in touch with authorities in Fayetteville to check on Benoit's house and see if there was anything wrong going on there.

DEAD BODIES FOUND
The sheriff's department arrive at the scene at 2:30 PM Monday and witness the carnage of three bodies lying in Benoit's home, two of the bodies having been dead for over two days. The rest of the police department and coroner's team arrived on the scene a few hours later as the bodies were whisked away to the coroner's office where they are now being examined in detail to discern exactly what the cause of death is in all three bodies.

Benoit was a highly-regarded WWE superstar that had won the world heavyweight and intercontinental championship WWE titles over the course of his WWE career and was scheduled to perform at the WWE Vengeance event Sunday night in Houston, TX, but was replace by another wrestler because of "personal issues" last week.

WWE TRIBUTE TO BENOIT CANCELS OUT "MONDAY NIGHT RAW"
There was no "Monday Night Raw" show on the USA network on Monday night because Vince McMahon, the WWE's CEO, decided to instead run a three-hour tribute to the wrestler who is involved in the double murder suicide tragedy. Since the circumstances surrounding this bizarre case is already very clear, it does seem curious as to why a tribute was created to honor a man who quite likely killed his wife and daughter in cold blood before killing himself.

a new fact in the case of benoit 14 hours before benoit and his family were found dead someone posted their deaths on wikipedia the post was traced back to the world wrestling entertainment base of operations or stamford conneticut wwe's base.

To TaNika: The death of Vince McMahon was just a badly timed WWE storyline in which Vince supposedly died in a car that exploded on him upon entering it, but it was totally fake. Steroid usage has not been ruled out at all, in fact most of the evidence so far indicates "roid rage" on a huge level! But since he killed his wife a day before killing his son, it does look like a case of pre-meditated murder...we might not ever know.

DID ANYT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION COME OUT? WHO KILLED MR MCMAHON WHATS WITH ALL THE DEATHS IN WRESTLING? IS IT POSSIBLE THE STERIODS MADE HIM KILL HIS FAMILY AND HIMSELF? PLEASE EMAIL ME ANY NEW DEVELOPMENTS. HOW SAD. MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO THEIR FAMILIES.

It wasn't his fault he's into too much pressure, his career, his family and and with the help of anabolic steroids. He wasn't in the correct state of mind but when he had to his senses he decided to commit suicide because he knows deep down inside him,he can't live without his family.

I DON'T THINK HE DID IT. HE LOVED HIS WIFE AND KIDS SO MUCH, I DON'T THINK HE HAD IT IN HIM TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

To Laura, I was addressing the appropriateness of the tribute aired Monday...like i said before...if the company knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that benoit murdered his family...they wouldn't have done the 3 hour tribute Monday- but because there had to be a decision made prior to it's showing (which would air live at 5pm, only a few hours after hearing about the incident)...the decision to have the tribute was appropriate; even more so, due to the fact that it would have been VERY inappropriate to continue with Vince's Death Storyline.. Now, in terms of the WWE.com site STILL having a tribute section...i can see your point, then, yes, that would be a bit uncircumstantial. Rob Mead, I appreciate your response...you're right, in the wake of this tradegy..lets not forget the "real" travesty..the loss of Nancy and her 7 year old son, Daniel.

I also think he did it cause he was sad that eddie died. I think that had a little to do with it. Even though I do not like wreslting that much I think that that had something to do with it.

I also think he was fat.

Posted on 06/27/2007 at 5:06:00 PM

he's lame

i cant believe it - hes a murderer - no matter how good a wrestler he was in the past - nothing excuses what he has done - he has lost my respect for ever

To Greg: I do respect what you're saying because I was a huge WWE fan when it was called "WWF". I really loved the Undertaker and the wild antics of the great Stone Cold Steve Austin, and even went to a few 'live' events when "RAW" came to the Pond in Anaheim California. Vince McMahon has since apologized on the WWE website and stated that he was in fact misguided about his premature 'tribute' to Benoit, but I feel that the overwhelming tragedy we should all remember is the fact that three young people are now dead and will never be able to overcome the tragic circumstances of that horrible weekend in June.

First: This is a well written article. Nicely done. GILL: "People loved Benoit." Sure they did. So did his wife & kid before he MURDERED them. And the tribute is STILL up on the WWE site. Yes, McMahon tributes those who died before, but how many were suspected murders, or had their entire family die under suspicious circumstances?
