Two of the Republican Presidential Candidates have statements on agriculture issues on their web sites. There is no state that does not have agriculture as part of its industry and economy. Do we need to make changes to our agriculture policy? Should we work to lessen our imports of agriculture products, especially in light of recent incidents, the contaminated products from China for one. What if anything should be done to insure that we will have enough farm land to produce enough products? Should we study the feasibility of research into organic farming? You do not get as much yield per acre with organic farming, but the crops are 100% natural. How should we aid farmers who are victims of natural disasters. Agriculture will be a issue forever. The thing is do we stay the course we are on now or are changes needed in the immediate future.

Senator Samuel D. "Sam" Brownback of Kansas
Senator Brownback has this statement on his Republican Presidential Candidates web site regarding agriculture issues.
"During my time as Secretary of Agriculture in Kansas, I saw firsthand the issues faced by today's farmers. Clean air and water continue to be of top importance, as are the costs of fertilizer and other supplies. America must support the efforts of the agriculture industry, so that it can continue to supply a safe and economical food supply. I believe in agriculture innovation and remain committed to efforts that will help enable farmers to embrace the production of biofuels such as ethanol. I will continue to support America's agriculture industry by bolstering rural communities and the efforts of America's farmers."

Former Governor James S. "Jim" Gilmore III of Virginia
Governor Gilmore does not have an agriculture policy on his Republican Presidential Candidates web site.

Former Mayor Rudolph W.L. "Rudy" Giuliani III of New York

Former Governor Michael D. "Mike" Huckabee of Arkansas
At the moment, Governor Huckabee does not have his positions listed on his Republican Presidential Candidates web site.
