As the flood waters rage, rescuers are attempting to rescue two people on Ski Island in Northwest Oklahoma City.

Two people, one presumed to be the driver, have been pulled to safety so far. One small child is still trapped. The car is almost completely under water and could fall over a waterfall at any moment.

The weather service is predicting more flooding rains for Oklahoma for the remainder of the week.

According to Skynews WKWTV , heavy rain is "Bubbling up on the radar like a cauldron" and the prediction is that more flooding rains in the future due to a low pressure system that has been around since the beginning of June.

Weather forcasters are warning that it takes only a few inches of water can move your car. Please stay off the flooded roads.

Oklahoma has now broke the record for the most consecutive days of rainfall since 1937.

Hi- actually, there were twin 16-year old girls in the car you mention. They were both carried safely back to shore. No third person, luckily! And there isn't a waterfall in Ski Island, although I know it might have appeared that way on TV. And a spelling note - "Oklahoma has now BROKEN [rather than "broke"]the record...." Thank you for warning people about the roads - I have been on that particular one many times, but luckily I was taught never to drive into water unless I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was just a puddle. Those girls were very blessed and watched over that day!
