Learning Business: Getting an MBA Online

The internet is becoming a more and more popular method of instruction in today's business world. But, seriously what is up with the internet? What makes it the next frontier in education for people of every age, education level, etc…?

First off, it's no secret, internet education is booming. People of all ages, creeds, races, education levels, and other such stations are taking online classes. There are both credit and non-credit programs that can certify you in many things, but the MBA programs offered by many great online schools can be a great way to give you a leg up in a career without wasting time in classes when you can't be working and gaining valuable working experience.

Some state systems including the Iowa, Connecticut, and the New York system have online classes that can count towards a degree. Binghamton University offers MGMT 507 (Operations Management) online in the summer and some other courses are offered online for Managers in the traditional term. Though Binghamton does not offer a full term MBA online, you can get a lot of valuable learning experience from traditional programs like those offered at SUNY.

Professional schools, however, are also present. Schools like the University of Phoenix (www.phoenix.edu), Capella University (www.capella.edu), Western Governor's University (www.wgu.edu), and Walden University (www.waldenu.edu) all offer fully recognized programs in business. There are also some traditional schools like Tulane University that offer an executive MBA or a Master's certificate in business. If you search around at colleges, these kinds of colleges are not an uncommon breed.
