WWE wrestler Chris Benoit, known as 'The Rabid Wolverine,' 'The Canadian Crippler' and 'Pegasus Kid,' is dead at 40.

Benoit debuted in Stampede in December, 1985. His first title came in March, 1986. Later known as the Pegasus Kid Benoit wrestled in Mexico's Universal Wrestling Association and EMLL from 1991-1994. Benoit signed with the WCW in 1995. In 2001 he won the WWF tag team champoinship with Chris Jericho, later that year he had surgery to repair a pinched nerve in his neck and spinal problems. Benoit returned to the ring in 2002.

Benoit was quoted in May 2000 as stating his idea of the perfect Sunday is, "Relaxing at home with my kids." (Slam!)

Benoit canceled two events over the weekend due to an undisclosed 'family emergency'. On Sunday friends received text messages that prompted them to contact authorities who then found Chris and his family dead at their home. Chris Benoit has two other children, David (14) and Megan (10), who live in Strathcona County, who were not in the Benoit home over the weekend.

It has been reported that reported that Nancy Benoit petitioned for protection against domestic abuse as part of a 2003 divorce filing, describing her husband as "threatening." A judge granted a restraining order in May 2003, but both were dismissed three months later on Nancy Benoit's request. (Slam!)

Spider Lady say the Wrestling Promoters that fill a the Wrestlers a full of all kinds of the drugs and then they a spit out they bones when they all broke up! We have a hugh steroid problem, and it's not just wrestlers using the drugs.

Sorry to hear about this family's passing. It is a sad way to go. I followed his career when I was able to watch and understand the sport.

This wouldn't be the first time that McMahon's money has altered the facts. The truth is not exactly as we're being force-fed it. I'm in the process of writing on this and other secrets that Vince routinely buys out of circulation in order to amuse himself in aperverse game that's been going on for years. That's all I'll say about it at this time.

Well done report, but I gotta say, I'm a lot more concerned about the innocent child and mother murdered than about the criminal who did it.
