While for some people they cannot wait to show off their lives, for others High School reunions are more about our expectations in our own lives than what others expected of us. The notion of a high school reunion can send you into a panic over whatever aspect of your life you are not particularly proud of at the moment. It may not even be something that is all that wrong with that part of your life, but you think others will judge you for it. This may bother you enough to attend or not attend the reunion. However, it is a good time to take a mental inventory and fix a few things that might make you feel bad about yourself. You can improve your appearance, you work on your career goals, and you can take some baby steps to put you in the right direction.

If the fact that you have been out of high school for five, ten, fifteen or twenty years isn't shocking enough, the fact that you are probably not ready for people to see you with a few extra pounds might get you. The last time these people saw you; you likely were thinner and had more hair. Many of us peaked after high school, but if you were one of those high school beautiful people, or even if you want to spruce up a bit, there is work to be done. Or it may be a family reunion or wedding that you will be seeing old friends who might be sizing you up for how you turned out. Few people have the time to think about these things until it is too late to do much about it. Most of us are actually busy and don't have time to worry too much about people we have not seen in years. But there are two kinds of too busy to exercise kinds of people. For some people this is an excuse and for others it is actually true. If you want to go to your High School Reunion looking great, or you want to use this as a mental benchmark to give yourself a kick start towards your goals in life, some tips to make you look and feel better is a great way to get going.

Romy and Michelles high school reunion was a great lesson about this. Quirky movie but one of my faves. They thought they needed to change what they were, but were most impressive when they finally showed their true selves. I graduated in a class of 16, so no reunion committee there. So i have the option of initiating a reunion when everything is perfect for me!! That is awesome! But if one was planned before that I would go, I want to see old friends.
