The reason I came on here is because im a student sports therapist and I have a question asking me to distinguish between a muscle strain and muscle sprain, which confused me a little as i thought sprains were ligaments also.

I was recently in a car accident and thrown from a car. I landed on my left upper arm. I have no broken bobes, however, I have a severe sprain and nerve damage to ny axillary nerve. I also cannot move my deltoid unitil the nerve heals. Any advice for this soreness from the sprain to heal? or to excellerate the nerve damage?

Hard to take seriously anyone who doesn't distinguish the difference between a sprain (ligaments are sprained) and a strain (muscles). Not rocket science - basic stuff. Who's giving this advice?

This seems like very good advice and is common to what I have heard before.
