Women often feel that we men don't support them, especially in parenting. It is something that just doesn't come naturally to a guy, so this article is here to help! Follow the tips below and you will be guaranteed results. Tell her she is doing a good job. We don't need as much reassurance as a woman does and moms are getting flack all the time for their parenting. Everyone has advice and it can be tough to be sure you are doing the right thing for your children. You telling her that you admire the job she is doing will make her feel so much better.
Take the kids for a while. You get home from work, you're tired, it's just easy to let your wife deal with the kids! Whether she has been working as well or has spent the day at home, you can rest assured that she is tired, too. So, give her a bit of a break, take the kids outside for a bit, play a game with them or help them with their homework. And don't save this for weekdays, letting her have a few hours to herself on the weekend is always appreciated!
Back her up in discipline. If she tells the kids to go to bed, don't join in their pleas to stay up a little bit later! This not only undermines your wife's authority, it also makes her feel unsupported and like everyone is ganging up on her! So just don't do it. Back her up. If you aren't in agreement, you two can discuss it later, in private and away from the kids.
Help out around the house. Even if your wife is a stay-at-home mom, that doesn't mean she sits around watching TV all day. Staying at home with kids is hard work and she will appreciate you putting on a load of laundry or cooking dinner once in a while. Doing any chore will put you on her good side, but to earn extra points, take on a job that she really hates!
Get her a gift. All too often the romance dies after the kids start arriving. A bunch of roses or a bottle of bubble bath can be a big hit! And don't wait until it is an anniversary or birthday, do it just because. Combine this with the first tip for great results!
