Police Raid Chris Benoit's Personal Doctors Office

There's yet another twist in the Chris Benoit case. Fox News is reporting that police raided the offices of Dr. Phil Astin. The raid took place before midnight on Wednesday.

Fox News is reporting that authorities took computers, and medical records from the office located in Fayette County, Georgia. Astin was the personal doctor of the late Chris Benoit. Captain Mike Pruitt tells Fox News that the raid "stemmed from the investigation into drugs found in the Benoit home after the bodies of the pro wrestler and his wife, Nancy, and 7-year-old son, Daniel, were found Monday afternoon." Dr. Astin admitted according to Fox that "he had prescribed testosterone for Benoit."

In other developing news dealing with this case, Fox is saying that prosecutors in New York are also looking into this case. The reasoning behind this investigation is to look into allegations that Benoit had received deliveries from Signature Pharmacy and MedXLife.com, the two companies deal in medicines that are considered "steroids, human growth hormone and testosterone."

A lawyer for the MedXLife co-owner Dr. Gary Brandwein tells Fox News that MedXLife never sold Chris Benoit steroids. FoxNews.com also says that Dr. Gary Brandwein is already facing charges in New York and pled not guilty to charges of "signing and sending prescriptions without ever seeing patients."

A person close to the investigation called in the report McDevitt has said the drugs found in the Benoit home were legal prescriptions and that "There's no question, none of these drugs are out there, none of these drugs came from Internet pharmacies."

In earlier reports today via a FoxNews.com exclusive it was announced the death of Nancy Benoit had shown up on Wikipedia.com, 14 hours before the discovery of the bodies of Nancy Benoit, Chris Benoit, and Daniel Benoit. The computer used to make the changes to the Wikipedia.com biography of Chris Benoit reportedly was traced back to Stamford, Connecticut using IP address information. The investigation into this is also on-going.
