The city of Wichita Falls, Texas shows off this summer with enough events to entertain locals and visitors alike.
MAY
Kell House Museum, located at 900 Bluff, hosts “Teapots, Coffee Ports, Chocolate Pots and Samovars” the entire month. Check out this unique art form Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. Cost is $3 for adults and $1 for children. The Midwestern State University Music Department sponsors “An Afternoon with Mozart” on May 7. Performance starts at 3 p.m. on the MSU campus and admission is free to the public. Call (940) 692-3766 for more information.
Kemp Center for the Arts opens the gates for the first time on its Sculpture Garden on May 13. Kemp Center is located at 1300 Lamar in downtown Wichita Falls. At 6 p.m., the John Jorgenson Quintet will perform “American Gypsy Jazz.” Admission is free. For more information, call (940) 692 3766.

The Wichita Fall Waterfall was recreated in 1986 to replace the natural falls that were washed away in the late 1800s and gave the city its name. The current fountain provides a 54-foot tall fall.
