Some paper crafts need glue to stay together. Other paper crafts do not require glue. They can be held together with other supplies which you already have on hand.

If you don't have these useful glue alternatives on hand, pick them up next time you are out and about.

These alternatives to glue are suited for kids and adults (with the exceptions noted).

When glue will detract from your paper crafts or arts turn to one of these glue alternatives to keep your crafts together.

1. Raffia

Raffia is on natural material that can be used to tie paper crafts and other homemade projects together.

Raffia is made from palm trees. It has a history of use in basket-making, fabrics, mat making and more.

Use it for natureinspired homemade projects

Raffia can be purchased at a local arts supply retailer. It comes in different natural and dyed colors.

2. Clay

You may not think of clay as having adhesion properties, but it does. Clay can become a solid base for paper crafts or mixed media arts and homemade projects.

Clay is useful for homemade art projects, that are not primarily clay based. Clay can be used to adhere heavy papers to each other, or to build other arts and craft. Buy some clay, or make your own.

3. Leather (or faux) Craft Cord

Leather craft cord is not just for jewelry making. Leather craft cord or faux cord is very versatile and extremely sturdy for use in paper crafts.

4. Acrylic Mediums

Acrylic mediums are best used by adult crafters. Acrylic mediums are ideal for creating archival arts.

5. Craft Wire

Craft wire is one of the best ways to keep homemade art projects together, while embellishing the homemade art projects. The craft wire comes in different colors including shiny metallics.

The craft wire can be used in kids crafts by school-aged children who are skilled with scissors. Many craft wires are thin enough to be cut by ordinary scissors.

The only drawback to craft wire that is coated with a color is that overworking the wire can cause the color to peel off.

6. Paint

Paint itself can also replace glue on homemade art projects.

Enjoy these five arts and crafts supplies than can replace glue on your next paper crafts project.

Colored raffia is a natural item that can be used instead of glue to keep arts and crafts, and paper crafts, together.

Pictures would be EXCELLENT! I won't read the articles if I can see what they're talking about. The title gets my interest, but when I see nothing but text, I pass to another website. It's only a problem when the article is about VISUAL projects.
