Universal Studios Hollywood is a must see for any movie fan. Some people think that if they have seen Universal Studios in Orlando they have seen it all. Boy are they wrong! This place is almost completely different from the Florida counterpart. Here are the main attractions there that were experienced.

Van Helsing Fortress Dracula - There was a slight line which was fine because slowly walking through the line were props and photos from the movie. Once inside this was actually a haunted house type thing to end all haunted houses! The theme was Van Helsing, but even if you didn't enjoy the movie it shouldn't take away the thrill of walking through this frightening set up. You're mostly in the dark, there are long, narrow twisty corridors of mirrors with little light, and there are creatures that seem to come out of the wall at you, arms that just flop out of the wall at you, creatures that come out of what seems to be complete darkness to scare you and plenty of movie sets to see on top of all that. I would advise that younger children or those who are more sensitive to such things possibly take a pass on Van Helsing's Fortress Dracula. Overall a fun attraction to see and experience.

Back to the Future the Ride - Which is one of the best rides ever made! From getting into one of Doc's time machines and traveling back through time to find Biff and the other time machine. Getting eaten by the dinosaur is one of the best parks of the whole thing. Kids of all ages loved this attraction and hopefully they will keep this one open instead of closing it down. It wasn't scary yet moved around enough and was adventurous enough that he really got a thrill from it. The younger audience was buying the movies down in the gift shop so they could see what the ride was based off of.

OOOH, I LOVE themem parks, but I'm a Disney gal through and through. I will have to make it to Universal next time I am down in Florida though, because I am a movie FREAK! Thanks for the article! www.myspace.com/ambrown5
