Here is where the vision of Walt Disney first started. Walking through this park gives a different sense of atmosphere than what Disney World in Orlando gives. The difference is Disneyland has a closeness about it and feels like a home. Rather than the mass moving of people like Disney World has the feel of.

A recreation of Walt's hometown in Missouri, greets you when you first walk through the gates. Set up just like his old downtown would look, the streets are lined with shops and attractions that would be present in his hometown. Original Disney cartoons are constantly showing in the theater, and ride in horse-drawn carriages up and down the streets.

Adventureland has some of the original and authentic rides to the park. Indiana Jones Adventure, one of the best attraction ever can be found there. This thing is an absolute blast, combining bumpy yet smooth ride going through tunnels and caves escaping danger at every turn. Head here early because the line can get very long quickly. The Jungle Cruise and Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room are also found there and a must for any Disney new park treker.

The new pirates of the caribbean ride is great, but the original one still is my favorite. I rode the new Pirates of the Caribbean twice, and loved it very much. This boat ride gives a lot of bang for the wait time and now features Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. Right next door is the Haunted Mansion which is a must do for any visitor to the park, old and young.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is one of the greatest rollercoasters out there. This coaster is best experienced at night with all of the lights shining around it.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride is just a lot of fun. This ride in a giant hunny pot never had more than a ten minute wait and always fun to experience over and over again.
