If you love to travel, Amazing Race is the game show for you.  10 couples race around the world competing in challenges at each location to win a grand prize of $1 million.  The couples race to "pitstops" along the route often with the first team winning a prize (e.g. a cruise or a trip) and the last team being eliminated.  The race takes you to amazing locations such as Seoul, Sicily, France, Thailand, India, Bejing, etc.  And the challenges can be fun if sometimes times trying.  For example, couples have had to build a raft to cross a river, lead 3 stubborn llamas to their pens, or skydive to their pitstop.

This is great!  You say?  How do you get on?  Well, it could be difficult to get chosen for this exciting reality show, but applying is fairly easy.  The applications for Amazing Race 10 are due on June 2, 2006.  It requires a VHS video from each team as well as a questionaire.  The show looks for couples who can be themselves even while the camera is rolling and who "spark" under pressure.  But you con't have to be in a relationship to apply as a couple.

A couple can be any team of two people ranging from a mother and a son to college roommates to retired married couples.

The application is pretty quick to fill out and can be fun, leading to a greater insight to your partner.  You can find the application form and eligbility requirements at http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race_application/.

Good luck, and hope to see you on the show!
