It's an incredibly hot summer and if you plan to be outside you're going to need to know how to deal with it. Your body already does; it's called sweating. Quite simply it's your body's means of cooling down when it's too hot. Your body produces a fluid primarily consisting of water and eventually it evaporates, but sadly enough the contents leave us with that sticky feeling. Regardless, here are a few things that you should keep in mind when you start sweating and things you should consider if you're going to be dealing with all of the summer heat within the next month or two.

You're going to sweat when you're hot, that's a given. Some people perspire more than others, which is perfectly normal but you should know that your body doesn't produce the water you lose on a whim. If you're someone who happens to perspire more than others then you should be aware of how much water you're losing over the course of exercise or simply being outside. With the weather so warm it's easy to let the signs of dehydration go unnoticed because of the fact that you assume you're just going to sweat this much. Always carry a bottle of water or something to hydrate you while you're outside.

The signs of dehydration include a lower urine output, thirst (clearly), fatigue, dry mouth and dizziness. If you begin to suffer from dehydration drink water to give your body the fluids it needs. Also, you should be very careful of what you consume because vomiting and diarrhea are both processes that consume lots of water, something that you cannot afford to lose any more of. As mentioned before, always carry a bottle of water to deal with the threat.

Sweating also has other effects, which are notable less serious than dehydration. The most common problem is wet spots. This again applies mostly to the people who perspire more profusely than others. From personal experience I've noticed how some teachers were thoroughly embarrassed during the late spring and summer months when teaching because of noticeable wet spots by their arm pits.
