I recently opened a small t-shirt shop with Goodstorm, an online t-shirt outlet that allows users to open their own store and sell their own designs on t-shirts provided by GoodStorm. It is a business model similar to do-it-yourself internet giant CafePress, and it has become more and more popular, with websites like Spreadshirt, UberPrint, Bountee, Zazzle and others joining this new fad.

Of course, being a responsible seller, I wanted to see what quality the shirts from GoodStorm would be, so I ordered a couple with my designs on them, for a very reasonable price, far less expensive than CafePress or Spreadshirt. However, I have run into a bit of a problem with GoodStorm and their shipping-what happened? Read on.

I placed an order with Goodstorm on the 12th of June, 2007, for two different t-shirts. I received a confirmation that my order was placed right after placing the order, and received a tracking number to check the packages progress on the 25th, under their Super Saver Shipping, by UPS to USPS. So far so, so good, right? Wrong! The tracking number, and the link provided to me by Goodstorm did not work at all. Whenever I clicked on the link, I was taken to the UPS page where they stated they had no information on the item. Searching for the tracking number provided by Goodstorm was a no-go as well, and yielded no results.

Now, sometimes this happens when a distributor notifies UPS they will ship with them, but doesn't ship the item until a few days later, at which time tracking information starts to show up. This seemed to be the case with Goodstorm, as after a couple of days had passed, the tracking information showed up. However, it revealed an interesting route-instead of simply taking the usual route of the closest major city to my location, and then to me, the package took a rather odd turn.

I have encountered the same problem...if I had known that it takes 3 weeks to receive a shirt I would have never setup a store on their site. Prices and quality are great, fulfillment and shipping horrible.

This was the same for me. I ordered one shirt -- it arrived a couple weeks later. Goodstorm is a small company: we can't expect rush turn around. I think that one week to make the shirt and one to ship is not unreasonable. The prices are a lot better and my red shirt with white lettering came out great!
