What It's Like Going to an Online High School

Many people believe that being home-schooled means that one is sheltered and is not being exposed to the "real world". They do not truly understand the realm that has been offered to students due to technology such as the internet. A home-schooler, once they reach high school, can go to high school online. Through one school, Keystone National High School, a teen can gain much. They can obtain their diploma, take Honors and AP courses, and even join one of the several extracurricular clubs! The main thing that makes online high school all worth while is the fact that you schedule when you take class. It is truly the opposite of the generalization given to many home-schooled students.

Keystone National High School currently has three clubs that the student can join. They have a photography club, a student's association, and a school newspaper. The photography club has monthly contests that the student can submit their photography and hope to win the title of that month's winner. In photography club, one can also display their photography and have it critiqued by the faculty member who is in charge of the club, as well as their fellow peers. The student's association help promote Keystone National High School, and they also help give new ideas to the school for better future improvement. The school newspaper is comprised of photographers, writers, good leaders, and artists. They put together the online monthly newspaper that is always filled with many articles from all different areas of the world! Due to the great diversity of youth that take pride in being Keystone Coyote's, the different clubs are always very beneficial to learning about different cultures, as well as being quite interesting to read.
