Fans of the Black Canary/Green Arrow relationship need to pick up this new mini-series. According to Newsarama, the four part series marks a turning point for all the characters involved.

If you read Green Arrow #75, you would have seen Oliver Queen (Green Arrow) propose to Dinah Prince (Black Canary), which adds yet another layer to their complicated relationship. The mini-series deals with Black Canary coming to a final decision and at the same time handling an important situation.

Tony Bedard, the writer for the series, brought fans up to speed on the current state of the character. After the One Year Later jump that affected the entire DC Universe, Dinah was training with the same masters that taught Lady Shiva. "Dinah is an almost incomparable martial artist, on a level with pretty much anyone else you can point to -- Shiva, Batman, Richard Dragon... anyone," Bedard said. "As readers of Birds of Prey know, Dinah recently adopted a young girl named Sin whom she met while training in Southeast Asia. Sin was being groomed by the League of Assassins to one day take the place of Lady Shiva as the world's deadliest assassin." Dinah left the Birds of Prey so that Sin could have a chance at having a normal life. This adds something to the equation of Dinah's answer to the Green Arrow; if she marries Ollie the child might not have that normal life.

Along with that, other challenges spring up that draw out the decision making process. "Basically, as Dinah is trying to decide whether or not marrying Ollie would ruin her chances for giving Sin a normal childhood, the League of Assassins tries to get Sin back," he said. "We'll feature the return of a character from Green Arrow's past and one from Dinah's past that hasn't been seen in a long while. Hilarity and heartbreak ensue."

Along with giving the basis of the story, Bedard alluded to possible story points that were revealed on some covers of the upcoming series. One cover shows displays a tombstone with Sin's name engraved on it. "I wouldn't want to give away too much... except that this is the most heart-twisting, gut-wrenching Black Canary story ever!!!"
