A new piece of technology that was used in the filming of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was Image Metrics. Grawp, who is Hagrid's half-brother who just happens to be a full-sized giant, was created using this technology. Image Metrics technology allows an actor's actions to be mapped onto any character in the film.
