How Lindsay Lohan Turned Twenty-One

People Magazine reports that instead of partying in Las Vegas to celebrate her 21st birthday, Lindsay Lohan celebrated her big day on Monday with a Malibu birthday bash and then back at the rehab facility.

During the weekend, Lohan's mother and siblings were photographed at the Los Angeles Airport for what her mother had described would be a "family celebration."

Monday, Lohan was caught by photographers jogging along the beach and taking a break from her stay at the Promises rehab center in Malibu where she has been ever since last month.

Friday, Lohan was seen with two of her friends - one male and one female. The three of them were looking great and taking in the piano tunes at the Chateau Marmont where the celebrity indulged on tea, diet coke and water.

An observer at the California hotspot added that Lohan seems to have "turned things around, at least for now."

Saturday, Lohan was seen stopping at a boutique called Planet Blue which can be described as a place where rock music is loud and ongoing along with shelves filled with a majority of items for bedrooms, bathrooms and clothing closets.

Lohan also managed to model her newest of accessories for photographers as she walked about with her brand new iPhone on hand.

Last Wednesday night, Lohan made her way to Santa Monica to make an appearance at an AA meeting and then afterwards had dinner with friends at Katsuya in Brentwood but not without stopping back at the rehab facility in between.

A diner observed the celebrity at Katsuya and told the magazine, "She came in with a whole bunch of friends, there were like seven of them, and she walked in incognito, super low-key. They sat down for some sushi and were just really enjoying themselves. She wasn't really noticed at all and was just happy, in a good mood."

Lohan who originally planned to spend her twenty-first birthday partying at PURE Nightclub in Las Vegas, Nevada with family, friends and the public ended up changing her plans and just spending her birthday a Malibu beach amongst family and friends before spending her evening quietly in rehab.
