On Monday night, I went with my family to see the opening of Transformers. I went to the 11:30 pm showing and was surprised that the theater wasn't full. It was only about half full. After being annoyed by the same commercials and advertisements that were being played over and over every 5 minutes, the movie finally was underway. It immediately started out with action and then went into story. There were some slow points in the movie, but being that they were trying to give the non transformer fans the story, that's understandable. I was expecting a little more action, but rest assure there is plenty. There are some awesome fight scenes, especially towards the end.

The autobot characters were great and they also made you fall in love with some of the characters. Optimus Prime looked awesome in his semi he choose and Jazz was slick. The Decepticons looked so bad in the military vehicles they choose. They kind of put some fear in you knowing how powerful they were. I would have liked to heard the Decepticons talk more, but this is only the beginning.

There was also a love story in it, but I would call it more of a crush story than anything. The comedy was great. They had alot of great moments that were hilarious between the humans and the autobots. Being accustomed to the original G1 Transformers, they they did a great job keeping the story line the same and the traditional sayings that you are used to hearing from there such as "Autobots, transform and roll out".

I took my 10 and 6 year old to see this. The movie was very clean, no nudity and the violence is nothing different than Independence day. There were quite a few cuss words said in the movie, so please make sure you have a talk with your kids about how they are not supposed to repeat those words before you see the movie. The kids stayed awake the whole time and loved the movie.

Did You Know?
Lots of great CGI in the movie.
