L'Occitane Lait Milk Shower Cream
Will This Shower Cream Leave Your Skin Soft or All Dried Out?
As I was browsing around for a few minutes one of the saleswomen who claimed to be an aesthetician asked me what I was looking for, and I told her that I wanted a product that would be gentle on my skin especially the eczema that I'd been battling for years.
She confidently told me that she knew exactly what would work, because she was an aesthetician and her sister also had eczema and she'd help her calm her skin with a product by L'Occitane. She briskly walked me to the L'Occitane section of the store and grabbed their Lait Milk Shower Cream off of one of the shelves.
She answered a few of my questions and raved about the product for a few minutes, saying that it would definitely soothe my skin and moisturize it, since it contained shea butter. She bragged that her sister's eczema had cleared up about 75% with this and that I could probably get the same results if I used it every day.
I noticed that the $17 L'Occitane Lait Milk Shower Cream listed sodium laureth sulfate as it's second ingredient after water. Every since I learned about how drying sulfates are I always avoid products with it, but because of her enthusiasm I was sold on the Lait Milk Shower Cream and headed home with the square bottle which looked like it was filled with an opalescent milk. I was so excited to have finally found a gentle product that I took a bath as soon as I got home from the store.
My first disappointment with the shower cream was at how thin and watered down it was, but I got over it after it produced a very rich lather with a dime-sized drop. When I first put the cream onto my skin I thought I had a really great product because it made my skin feel so silky and soft.
