What you notice first about the Quick Recovery Mask is the fresh, clean smell that comes from the Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil and Menthol. This provides both a nice cool feel on your skin and a refreshing fragrance. You might think eucalyptus and menthol would be a bit overwhelming for a mask, but Noevir has managed to keep it nice and light.
The workhorse of this mask is Beta Hydroxy Acid. This softens and exfoliates dead skin cells using smooth scrubs and polishing beads. Unlike some scrubs and masks, the Quick Recovery Mask is gentle to the skin and suitable for even the most sensitive skin types. It does not cause any redness or excessive tingling on my super-sensitive eczema-prone skin.
Finally, the Quick Recovery Mask leaves your skin feeling incredibly smooth and moisturized. The combination of Beeswax, Jojoba Oil, and a licorice plant root extract keep moisture in and reduce any inflammation. I also have rosacea and this mask actually helps keep the redness under control.
Noevir says the mask can be used 2 to 3 times per week. You apply a fairly thick layer of the mask, enough so that your skin does not show through, and then let it sit for 2 minutes. Next, lightly massage your face with your fingertips--the mask will still be moist. Now rinse well with lukewarm water until no traces of the mask remain. You can follow the mask with a toner and light moisturizer if you need it.
What I like about this mask more than many others is that you can put it on just before you step into the shower in the morning. It can be massaged in and rinsed off as part of your morning routine. You don't need to take any extra time out of your day to get the skin-clarifying results of a mask.
