Nicole Richie Pregnant? Getting Married?

(LOS ANGELES) Nicole Richie may be pregnant and getting married says OMG.Yahoo.com The 'celebutante' has been dating musician Joel Madden of Good Charlotte fame for several months now. But neither one of them are saying whether a baby or a wedding is in the immediate plans.

Mums the word on the Richie front. Recently she appeared on the talk show circuit, including David Letterman and Regis Philbin, promoting the t.v. show "The Simple Life." Yet no word about a baby or any wedding plans came up during her interviews.

When Access Hollywood asked one of Richie's representatives to confirm or deny the baby rumours, the reply was one of "We have nothing to report." Access Hollywood also reportedly asked Richie's representative whether the swirling rumors were false, the representative did not respond, leaving the door open to the possibility that it is true that she is pregnant.

On top of that, the rumor mill has it that a wedding may be just around the corner for Madden and Richie. Access Hollywood's Maria Menounos sat down with Richie's dad, Lionel Richie, and the subject of being a grandparent to his adopted daughter, as well as what he may have heard about wedding plans from her was discussed.

Maria Menounos: "We're hearing you may have to warm up your pipes to sing at a wedding. Is there any truth to that?"

Lionel Richie: "Nicole is probably one of those wonderful people that will not tell her father until I keep going, 'Come on Nic. I'm your father. What's going on?[She'll say] 'Nothing dad, nothing.' So right now, she's in nothing mode. I don't know. She'll let me know about it at the very last minute. I'm just hoping that it doesn't cost me a fortune," said the R&B legend.

MM: "When you hear all of these pregnancy rumors, do you call her right up?"

LR: "It's the natural instinct to call. When she was 18 22, I'd call her right away. But now she's 25, I kind of wait. I've learned the lesson now. So at this point, I feel that if she doesn't call me, it's not really happening," said Richie. "So at this point she's kind of got me on the silent thing, which is OK with me. No news is good news."
