Zukey Lake Tavern: Pinckney, Michigan

If you want to park your boat and step onto a roof deck, enjoy good food and drink in a great family atmosphere, then look no further than Zukey Lake Tavern in Pinckney, Michigan. You might think this sort of service is reserved for the shores of one of the Great Lakes, but it's right on Zukey Lake, which is just one among the Huron River "Chain of Lakes" in Livingston and Washtenaw counties in southern Michigan. The tavern is known for it's steak and fish dinners cooked to perfection. My husband and I personally have enjoyed the Coho salmon, fish and chips, and center cut sirloin steak, which came to the table as we specified. There are also daily and seasonal specials, and I recently was lucky enough to be there on a day when they were serving one of my favorites; a grilled chicken creamy pesto pasta dish. This was delicious as were the uniquely seasoned fries of which my husband and I shared. Other menu items include an impressive beer and wine selection, appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, several steak dinners, Mexican dinners, and a variety of fish and chicken dishes. One of their specialties is the deep pan pizza which of course is made to order. Zukey Lake also has several specialty pizzas including Hawaiian and Greek. There is even a child's menu which you can choose from favorite kid's food such as pizza, grilled cheese, and hot dogs with appropriate portion sizes for your little ones. Of course, with Zukey Lake's commitment to being reasonably priced these smaller portions are priced accordingly.
