Poetry Corner - the Man I Used to Be
Embed:
Isn't it funny how everything changesIn just the blink of an eye?
How it all just falls apart around you
And you're left to wonder why?
But sometimes its amazing
Though its hard for some to see
I see it when I look at him
The man I used to be
He haunts me like a ghost
A constant reminder of how things were
The pain, the darkness, the sadness
It was all because of her
I look at him with fondness
At this reflection that I see
This distortion of reality
For he's the man I used to be
I will never forget him,
But I'm moving on you see.
So here's to new beginnings
And to the man I'm soon to be.
