The release of the 7th and final installment in the Harry Potter phenomenon is mere weeks away, and those of us with a deep love of the series await eagerly, excitedly and a little bit sad. The days pass slowly as the tingling anticipation increases and quite frankly we don't know what to do with ourselves. Fellow Potter fans, I give you 10 Ways to Kill Time Waiting for the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:-Re-read the entire series... twice. That should kill a few days at least, if you read them as fast as I do, that is.
-Watch films 1 thru 4 and go see "Order of the Phoenix" in the theaters a few [dozen] times. As with the books, that should take a couple of days off of the wait.
-Find all of the Harry Potter theory books you can and read them. Highlight and take notes, then write out your theories as to what will happen in book seven. Make sure to share this with as many people as you can get to listen to you, and get their theories as well.
-Get together with friends, have a Harry Potter themed dinner (did you know that there are recipes for Butterbeer you can find online?) and present your theories and speculations on what will happen in "Deathly Hallows." Write everyone's guesses down and see who got the closest.
-Write a letter to your favorite character. Make sure you tell them how much you admire them and why.
-Write a letter to your least favorite character. Make sure to indicate what you think makes them so horrible, with lots of examples. Vent your spleen as they say.
-Make a list of characters from the books and then assign each role to someone you know. Try to match the characters up to your friends and family (and enemies) based on the characters they're most like in your mind.
-Write a list of spells you would like to see them come up with. Personally, I'd like to see them develop a spell that can re-alphabetize my CD collection after my son decides to rearrange them.
-Make your Harry Potter themed costume to wear to the movie premier as well as the midnight release at your local bookseller. Go against the grain, dress up as one of the Dursleys or Oliver Wood, instead of a main character.
