Psoriasis, affecting anyone at any age, is most common among young adults and those in mid-life, however children as young as newborns have also been affected. When psoriasis develops, the skin disorder will appear, usually on the knees, head and elbows. However, in some cases, the condition goes beyond these areas. In fact, some adults are reporting complications associated with psoriasis in the groin and area around the genitalia, leaving many sufferers mistakenly concerned over the contraction of a sexually transmitted disease.
