How Reflexology Has Helped Me
Embed:
It seems my body is always full of aches and pains. I have tried various methods to help reduce the aches and pains. For example, hot tub, exercise and a massage chair. However my all time favorite method for reducing the aches and pains is reflexology. Reflexology is the belief that the different parts of our feet coincide with the different parts of our body. I enjoy going to the person who specializes in reflexology because every time I go the aches and pains of my body have been released. To help familiarize you with reflexology I am going to talk about the benefits of reflexology and what a typical experience would be like. There are many wonderful benefits to reflexology. For me the benefit is that it reduces stress and the aches my body frequently feels. Science has discovered that reflexology brings about a healthy balance to the body. For example, a person who feels depressed after a reflexology session may feel energized and upbeat. Dwight Byer, president of the Institute of Reflexology, gives another example stating, "Reflexology helps the body to maintain homeostasis, or to regulate itself. So, for example, if the thyroid is overactive, we help to bring it down; if it's under active, we help to bring it up, and, if it's normal already, it's going to stay there." Reflexology seems to be of benefit for many types of diseases and conditions.
