Evanston is a small Wyoming town. It has a population of about 11,507 people. Like the rest of the state, it has a seasonal climate. This means that it is going to be cold and snowy in the winter and hot and dry in the winter. When planning your Evanston vacation keep in mind the type of weather patterns you will encounter and then pack accordingly.

Step 1: Learn About Evanston Tourist Attractions

Evanston has a lot of great tourist attractions to visit considering how small it is. You have the option of visiting historical, cultural or natural sites. Some of the attractions that you will want to visit while in Evanston, Wyoming include: the B.E.A.R Parkway, the Depot Square Park or the Uinta County Museum.

Step 2: Find a Place to Stay

Evanston offers tourists several lodging options. Your first option is camping. This lodging option is an affordable alternative to hotels, however, it generally is only an appropriate choice during the warmer months of the year. The campgrounds and RV parks that are located within 20 miles of Evanston include: Marion Arimone Trailer Park, Meeks Cabin Campground, Homestead Village, Lyman KOA Kampground and Little Lyman Lake Campground. During the colder months of the year you will most likely need to stay at a hotel. During the winter months of the year you will be able to enjoy an ample snow fall. Skiing is one of the most popular winter sports in Wyoming. Other winter outdoor activities that you can participate in include: snowmobiling, snowshoeing and sledding. If you are interested in planning a ski adventure then you will most likely want to take a look at the ski areas on Beaver Mountain, in Deer Valley, in Park City and in the Canyons. All of these ski areas are located within about an hour and a half of Evanston, Wyoming.
