Illinois State Fair: Celebrate and Educate

Celebrate and Educate is the slogan of this year's Illinois State Fair, the premier agricultural showcase of Illinois. More than 150 buildings full of fascinating displays and exhibits celebrate the states recreational opportunities and natural resources. The Illinois State Fair, held in Springfield, IL, runs August 10 -19, 2007.

The summer festival features 366 acres of attractions, with livestock, carnival rides, world class harness racing and motor sports, musical entertainment and fascinating exhibits. There are various performers, contests, food and just plain fun at the Illinois State Fail held in Springfield.

Special theme areas include Main Street US, Hollywood, My Kind of Town Chicago, Wild Wild West, Key West w/ One Particular Harbor.

Country Junction has continuous entertainment, featuring Kimberly Wolff, Borderline, Haf Bitten Moon Band, Prairie Land Pickers, Lori Franke with Miles Station, Casey Jamerson, Cook and Belle, Davey French and the Silver Spur Bns, Cadillac Ranch, Workin' Class, Yard Fulla Cars, Prairieland Pickers, Southern Exposure, Still Kick'n, Liz Toussaint & Band, Jenni DeMarco, Saturday Night Special, Amanda Sheridan, Thunder, Kimmy Jo and Brittany Clarke & Troublebound.

Ethnic Village offers an opportunity to experience many cultural groups and traditions of different countries. Fourteen different countries and two international food booths will be in the Ethnic Village. Ethnic cuisine includes: Australian, Dutch, Filipino, French, Greek, German, Indian, Italian, Jamaican, Korean, Mexican, Polish, Turkish and Vietnamese.

Happy Hollow - Welcome to the Jungle shows off interesting animal life that we don't get to see every day.. Happy Hollow features Budweiser Clydesdales, Welde's Big Bear Show and Grizzly Falls, Wildlife Wendy's Tropical Birds, Bwana Jim's Wildlife Show, Swamp;master Gator Show and Live Line Demo Show

The Multipurpose Arena features Arena Cross & Freestyle Motocross, Truck & Tractor Pulls and Professional Championship Bullriders.
