Have you been working yourself to the bone in hopes of impressing your boss? Just knowing that there is so much more yet to obtain from your job gives you the motivation to want the gold. Your striving to get the best out of yourself, and give everything you have forward. Have you ever felt like this? Have you ever been so passionate about a job that you wanted it so bad? It's tough to find a job that you can be interested in, and compelled to give it your all. With that being said, however, you just know when you've found the thing that you could be doing the rest of your life. The job that is going to take you places you've been dreaming of, and get you the things you desire for your family. You start to dream of how proud your family is going to be of you when your offered your promotion, and how you won't have to worry about living paycheck to paycheck any longer.
Well, what happens when your overlooked? When your pushed aside like yesterdays news? Has this happened to you, or a friend, or family member? Weren't they devastated to find out that all of their hard work was just tossed out in the garbage, and all of the creditability they thought they had built is gone? It's a blow to not only your pride, but so much more.
It's not just the fact that you didn't get your promotion as hoped, and someone else did. It's the point of reflection upon your work with the company. All of the late nights, extra work going unnoticed, and searching for appreciation, and recognition. Don't they remember when you were the one to save the company thousands of dollars the year before? Or, maybe how you were the first to arrive when there was a problem? Nope, all that matters now is their new vision. That's right, the new guy, the new position, the new change around the office.
So, now what? What are you suppose to do now? You've been working your fingers to the bone to be something, and now you have no one you need to impress, and nothing to work for. How are you suppose to feel motivated at your job, and give the same attention to detail as you once did? Now, in my opinion it's nearly impossible.
