Making a Wedding Anniversary Scrapbook for Your Husband

If you are after a new idea for a wedding anniversary gift for your husband and are tired of traditional gifts, you may want to consider making him a wedding anniversary scrapbook. It is a very personal and unique gift. Here's what to consider when making a homemade
gift. You do not have to be an expert scrapbooker to create a wedding anniversary scrapbook that your husband will like.

How to Make a Wedding Anniversary Scrapbook for Your Husband: Choose the scrapbook that complements your husband's personality

A pink frilly scrapbook is fine for a scrapbook you plan to make for your daughter or niece, but you will have to think a bit more carefully and search harder for the right type of scrapbook for your husband. A good place to start looking is at www.scrapbooks.com. This web site has a wide variety of scrapbooks, including wedding anniversary scrapbooks. The Pioneer brand has an ivory coloured scrapbook that is an appropriate colour for wedding anniversaries. It is 12"x12" and includes 10 top loading sheet protectors and 10 heavy duty white paper scrapbook inserts. This scrapbook costs $23.29 and is one of five results that show up if you type in "wedding anniversary" into the search option.

How to Make a Wedding Anniversary Scrapbook for Your Husband: Budget

For couples who are on a limited income, they may not have a great deal of money to spend on buying and creating an expensive scrapbook. A more affordable alternative would be to buy a traditional self adhesive photo album and use that as a wedding anniversary scrapbook. Buying a self adhesive photo album will make mounting photos, clippings and post cards much easier. If you have a Michael's craft shop in your area you can look around for scrapbook paper that you can use as a background feature. Sheets are very affordable, at about $0.29 for an A4 size, increasing in price for 12"x12" paper. Alternatively, you can visit Michael's web site for further information and inspiration at http://www.michaels.com/art/online/home.

These are great ideas...I did this for my husband several years ago, but you reminded me that the scrapbook needs updating! Thanks.

I can see that this wedding anniversary gift would not be for everyone. So don't apologise, Zac! Sophie

This is a very good idea. After 18 years of marriage, we've collected quite a few "scraps." Of course, by that I mean ticket stubs, travel photos, a few menus I've asked for from special restaurants, etc. They are all in a big, big box. Now, I know what to do. I'll have presents for years to come.
