If you are looking to increase the value of your home by improving just one room in the house, you might want to consider re-doing the bathroom. By fixing up your bathroom you could be adding thousands of dollars in additional value. A bathroom home improvement could and should be one of the most luxurious renovations you do in the entire home. Discover how to make your Bathroom Home Improvement project, matter the most.

Where do you start?

First you need to develop a plan and then find the proper supplies for your bathroom home improvement. Look in your local phone book under plumbing supply. You should see a few listings for suppliers. Once you have found a good supplier you can call to see if they have a showroom to visit. Often times, you can get some very good ideas based on their displays.

The sink goes first

One of the most important features in any bathroom home improvement project is the sink. There are many wonderful brands of sinks on the market to choose from. One of my personal favorites is the Kohler brand of sinks. If you live in or near a larger city you should be able to find a Kohler show room to visit. There are many things to consider when choosing a sink.

How much space do you have?

If you have enough space you may want to consider adding two sinks (his and hers). Many of your more prestigious homes have standing pedestal sinks. This adds a very elegant look to the bathroom. Another nice addition to consider, is having your sink custom painted. Many artists specialize in just this type of work. They will create wonderful masterpieces on your bathroom sinks. Once you have found the sink design that you desire, it is time to consider the faucets.

Sinks are not complete without the faucet. This may sound like a silly statement, but unfortunately; many people stop at the sink. Don't install an inferior faucet. Faucets come in many different shapes and sizes. There are chrome faucets and gold faucets, long and short faucets. Choosing the right faucet could make all the difference in the world. Once the sink and faucet are in order you can move on to the countertop.
