Finding the right make-up can often prove to be a difficult task for women. Since you can't "try it on" before you purchase, it is impossible to know if the chosen product or products will work the way you need them to. Very few beauty products have any kind of money-back guarantee so you can quickly get stuck with a drawer full of unusable make-up.

Whenever possible, I try to buy my make-up from Home Shopping Network or QVC because they offer a 30-day money back guarantee on every product they sell, including make-up. However, it isn't always possible to purchase from them since they carry nothing but name brand beauty products that can often be expensive.

As a woman ages, the skin becomes delicate and "crinkles" in inappropriate places. On the face, eyelids almost always suffer this unfortunate fate. This makes finding a good eye shadow a bit of a problem since so many today are infused with pearls, glitter, or glimmer. These additional ingredients can accent every wrinkle and crinkle of the eye, which is not a good effect.

Some women prefer to remain current rather than worry about this issue. I refuse to settle for anything less than the best of both worlds - - a current look that is also flattering to my aging skin. Over the years, I have tried hundreds of eye shadows. My favorite remains the eye glimmers and shadows of Bare Escentuals. However, now that I work primarily from home and have a limited income, they no longer fit my budget.

Finally, however, I located a reasonable alternative in Physicians Formula Baked (Eye Shadow) Collection. It works almost as beautifully as Bare Escentuals, but costs about half the price. They also have a side benefit in that many of them can double as an eyeliner as well.

The baked eye shadow collection consists of revolutionary shadows that are actually baked on genuine Italian terracotta tiles. The eye shadow trio consists of three coordinated colors that work beautifully in concert with one another to both accent and line the eyes. The baked recipe allows the consumer to use the product either wet or dry, which provides infinite combinations that ensure a sexy, sophisticated look.

I've been wanting to try some of their skincare products. I guess I didn't realize they had makeup, too.

Catchy title and great review. If this will fit in the zipper compartment of my purse, I will use it. Thanks for the info.

These sound awesome (delicious, too -- sorry, but I always read your articles with taste in mind..I'll stop type casting you....the make-up articles are great!) I haven't purchased from QVC, but will look out for these. When should I tune in?
