Dogs love to play with stuffed animals and squeaky toys. If your dog is like mine, the toys probably don't last long. Even my smallest dog, who is only eight pounds, will destroy a new toy in ten minutes. I have spent countless dollars on various toys for my dogs, wanting to buy them a special gift. A little bit of time and a lot of money later, all I'm left with is a ball of fluff.

Tired of spending so much money on toys that don't last long at all, I began a search for indestructible dog toys. Believe me, if my dogs can make these toys last, yours can too!

Indestructible Jolly Ball

The first toy I found was the Indestructible Jolly Ball. The name had my attention, but I was not sure if it really was "indestructible." I went to www.perfectpuppytoys.com to buy one of these balls, and this is where I learned that if the toy breaks, the company will buy it back from you. That was good enough for me! The balls come in blue and red in sizes extra small to large, ranging in price from $6.60 to $18.49. I bought one for each of my dogs, and the good news is that they still have them!

They love to play catch with them or chase them around. They don't squeak, which is nice for me, but they like them anyway. This is definitely a great toy for rough dogs.

Kong Toys

Most dog owners know about the Kong toys. These are some of the best indestructible toys around. They come in different colors, and they have an opening at one end that is perfect for a dog treat. Try putting peanut butter in there for a toy that will give your dog hours of fun. When it's hot out I put peanut butter in the Kong and then put it in the freezer. Once it's frozen it becomes a great summer snack!

Visit www.kongcompany.com to get more information on the Kong products.

Booda Bone Rope Toy

This toy is a rope, braided in the middle, with strings hanging out on the ends. I know this sounds pretty easy to destroy, but it isn't. The strings also act like floss, so your dog's teeth and gums stay healthy. My dogs dragged this toy around everywhere and it got really dirty (it's white when you get it). The best part is that you can clean this toy in the washing machine!
