What Women Want in a Man

We men keep saying that woman don't know what they heck they want in a man. After all they do seem to say one thing and go for another. Yet there are certain overall traits that woman look for as they enter into the dating arena.

According to Don Diebel who wrote the book "How to Pick Up Women in Discos" there are definite characteristics that attract most women. They are as follows:

1. Sense of humor: They like a man who can make them laugh, crack a few jokes, and laugh at himself. Men that are too serious or too grumpy is a complete turn-off.

2. Fun to be with: "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" as Madonna says. Girls like to be entertained when they go out on a date. No one wants to sit there in sheer boredom as they are wasting their Friday night away with you.

3. Good conversationalist: If you can't talk then you don't have much of a chance. Woman like men who can talk to them, enjoy their company, and can keep the conversation alive. It also keeps them interested.

4. Intelligent: Duh? You didn't know this? Intelligence is one of those things that help woman feel as though you can take care of them. Intelligence is associated with the ability to support and succeed and no one wants a loser.

5. Good dresser: Peacocks attract their mates through color while men attract woman through their "cool" clothing. Dress well and you will find the women under your spell.

6. Good dancers: Dancing is a lot of fun. If you can dance your pants off and still keep the party going they will naturally be attracted to you. Most men don't know how to dance.

7. Projects happiness: A grumpy man will probably find himself along. After all, women probably made him grumpy anyway. If you are happy and nice they will feel comfortable with you.

8. Got a Plan: Ambitious and knows where he is going in life and how to get there: A man with a vision is much more interesting and attractive than a man who has no idea what the heck he is doing. Do you want your daughter dating a beach bum?

9. Sober: You might think that it is cool to guzzle beer like you were on the college rugby team. Yet...most mature women get turned off by such behavior.
