With all of the limitations placed on us by airports/airlines these days as far as what we can and can't bring (and rightfully so), it's becoming more of a challenge, and can almost seem to require an adult education course, in order to learn to pack for that much deserved vacation! It's seems like
an oxymoron that so many of us get stressed out before that vacation starts, because we are faced with the daunting task of "what to and not to pack." I have, self-admittedly perfected the art of packing, and I am a high-maintenance woman. To clarify, I am a high-maintenance woman, so if I can simplify my packing process, anyone can.

For many women, our makeup bag can be the most challenging for us. We can't forget our essentials and we secretly desire to bring everything but the kitchen sink with us. Some of us even get separation anxiety at the thought of leaving our favorite products behind to make room in our bags for other important things. I'm here to tell you not to worry. There are plenty of products in that makeup bag of yours, that you will be surprised to find do double duty, thus saving you the three H's: headache (wondering what to leave behind), hassle (wondering what to pack), and heart attack (at the thought of leaving something important behind).

I have come up with the perfect makeup bag checklist for any vacation, no matter how long or short. Believe it or not, everything you could need for a perfectly flawless face, could easily be packed into a sandwich bag.

1) Your full makeup brush set: This is the only thing that I recommend not leaving behind. You will use every one of them. You will probably laugh when you see you have three times more brushes packed than you do cosmetics. When you see the multifunctional properties of the products below, you will be happy you packed all of your brushes!

  • Packing light for vacation
  • Makeup products do "double and triple duty"
  • What not to leave behind
