So you're not a musician, writer, painter or sculptor? You don't knit, crochet or make crafts? There are different forms of creative outlets for the aged to enjoy. They are not just limited to making things and being crafty.

You can enjoy the arts without being the artist. Music therapy is popular with the elderly. It is a chance to feel and experience music. You can make a connection with lyrics or simply feel the beat. It's a chance to use creativity of others. If you are a musical it enhances it even more.

Drawing, painting and doodling are wonderful forms of art therapy. Again it isn't the end result but the whole process of getting there.

Another wonderful thing about creativity is time. For those that are retired they have the time to explore new hobbies, crafts and ideas. It's a chance to explore the world and enjoy it more.

Creative outlets help with keeping the mind alert. They are great therapies for depression. It is a good way to build up strength in some of the muscles. Most of all it can be great fun.

Yeah, it's definitely about the process, not the result.
