The Icy Hot Chill Stick as the name suggests operate by the twin action of Ice to dull the pain and Hot to relax it away. These are topical analgesic heat rubs meant for relieving pain. They act by rubefaction and relieve pains like arthritis, back ache, muscle sprain, bruises and cramps. The Icy Hot Chill Stick is a dual action pain killer does not heat or chill the area to which it is applied. Actually the Icy Hot stimulates nerve receptors. This makes the user first feel cold and then hot. It is designed for maximum pain relief at joints and has a long lasting effect.

Application of the stick in circular motions relieves the pain. The medication penetrates deeply for better results. The Icy Hot Chill Stick should be applied generously on the affected area. The stick has to be massaged thoroughly at the site of the pain until it gets absorbed to the skin. The medication has to be applied repeatedly but should not be used more than 4 times per day. The active ingredients are Methyl Salicylate (30%), Menthol (10%) and inactive ingredients comprising of Ceresin, Cyclomethicone, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Microcrystalline Wax, Paraffin, PEG 150 Distearate, Propylene Glycol, Stearic Acid and Stearyl Alcohol.

The Icy Hot Chill Stick should be used as per the instruction give in the package. People who are allergic to aspirin or salicylate should consult a doctor before using the stick. It is not advisable to use application to open sores or damaged skin. Unlike certain balms the Icy Hot is not greasy and does not stick. It is not messy at all.
