Is work stressing you out? Are the kids keeping you busy? Have you put yourself on the backburner to get the kids to where they need to be and keep the household running? Would you like some time to yourself? Everyone needs a "Me Day" every once in a while, but don't often get it. If your excuse is that you don't have time, then it's probably high time that you make time. But if your excuse is, "I don't have a lot of money," you're in luck. It's a feasible enough excuse, but really, you don't need a lot of money to have a "Me Day." There are plenty cheap and relaxing things you can do without shelling out the big bucks.

Cheap and Relaxing Idea #1 - Read in a coffee shop. You don't have to spend a lot of money, just order a coffee, perhaps, and sit down with a good book. Take in the atmosphere, and let it relax you. With your java and book, you've made a good start to the day.

Cheap and Relaxing Idea #2 - Go window shopping. It's nice to go window shopping once in a while, without someone else. You can go at your own pace, and you don't have to work on someone else's schedule. Take as long as you want to browse though the goodies. If you don't take a lot of money with you, however, you won't be tempted to buy. It's nice just to look, sometimes.

Cheap and Relaxing Idea #3 - Go to the park. Going to the park alone is a lot different than going to the park with the kids. Take a leisurely stroll around the premise. Take in the nature that surrounds you. You can even sit and read your book, or pack a few things with you for a picnic in the park. This is a great way to just relax and be with yourself.

Cheap and Relaxing Idea #4 - Maybe you're never home, and on your "Me Day" you'd like to remember what your couch feels like. Rent a couple movies, or pick them from your personal collection, and watch them by yourself. This would be a great opportunity to dig out some of those chick flicks that you haven't seen in a long time, and pop some popcorn.
