Since I'm more of a runner then a lifter, when I'm at a gym I spend more time on the indoor/outdoor tracks. I've seen plenty of annoying and odd behavior done; heres a few of the types of people on the track.

The Chatters- Generally this is a group of 2-4 'walkers' whom are so busy talking they don't notice they are taking up every lane; because they figure they can't chat one behind the other. They tend to move slow and even when they realize they are in the way, they act surprised when a runner comes flying by and nearly hits them.

The Speeders- These runners generally focus on going as fast as possible for speed training; this leads to loud noises of pounding feet, grunting, and of course possible collisions. They always like to run in the inner lane which is a blind spot on some indoor tracks. If they aren't speed training, they just think running 100m at full speed is a workout; then try to cross over the lanes to go pump the iron.

The Powerwalkers- Again usually in a group and taking up two or more lanes; you need to watch out for flailing arms, dropped weights, and absurd outfits.

The One Wayers- These runners or walkers always seem to be blind to the direction everyone else is going. It becomes like a game of chicken, because when their bearing down on you; you sure as hell know they aren't going anywhere.

The Drifters- Maybe their just tired; but this kind of runner is like a driver on a few drinks; keep your distance or you'll end up with who knows how many injuries. Always crossing over lanes, stopping randomly, and never looking.

The Gym Rat Runner- These people are generally showoffs in the weight room, so they try to do the same on the track. Their the ones that try to sprint a mile then stop to do 100 pushups, 100 situps, 500 jumping jacks, and 300 chin ups by the side of the track as a 'warmup' in between sprints. You can see them shortly after wards nursing injuries or hanging over the nearest trash can opening.
