For Those Still Waiting to a Follow-up to Songs in the Key of Springfield and Go Simpsonic!

The good money-grubbing folks at Fox and News Corp. made capitalism work a decade ago when they released not one but two very cromulent CDs that embiggened the appreciation of the best television show in history, The Simpsons. Songs in the Key of Springfield and Go Simpsonic! both satisfied the craving of even the lustiest of Simpsons fans who wanted to hear their favorite songs from their favorite animated series while driving to the local Kwik-E-Mart, or 7-11 or Citgo. It was a wondrous, magical time. Since the release of Go Simpsonic the Simpsons have produced about 250 more episodes, most of which have at least one song in them, yet those same folks at Fox have not seen fit to make a profit for themselves by releasing a third soundtrack album, much less a fourth. What's a Simpsons fan to do?

Forget the constricting nature of monopolistic American-style capitalism and indulge in the rich chocolately goodness of cooperative free market economics. Or, to put it another way, check out Clay Loomis' Simpsons song page. There is something a bit troubleistic about this page, however: If you are a truly dedicated Simpsons fan this site may just make you cling to your chest and cry out for Jebus to help you. Clay Loomis has created a page with a link to play nearly every song, regardless of how short, that has ever appeared in a Simpsons episode. I say nearly only because as of this writing I could not find Jasper auditioning for the vacant spot in Homer's Barbershop quartet by singing the theme to A Summer Place complete with his own made-up, and thoroughly appropriate lyrics to his instrumental movie theme. That's just about the only song from the Simpsons that doesn't show up, and it may be hidden inside there somewhere.
