Mike Bibby on the Trading Block?

It looks as if Mike Bibby was very close to being traded in a three-team deal that involved the Cavaliers and the Spurs.

The deal would have sent Mike Bibby to the Kings and Drew Gooden and San Antonio's Jackie Butler would have gone to the Kings. It is not known what the Spurs would have gotten, but it might have been a draft pick.

The Kings and Cavaliers can still work out a deal without the Spurs, but the Spurs went ahead and traded Butler to the Rockets, taking him out of the equation.

The Kings look determined to move Bibby as Ron Artest has been put on the backburner.

One More for Mourning?

Alonzo Mourning has not said what his intentions are for next season, but he has said that if he returns it will be for just one more year.

No News on Williams

Milwaukee Bucks point guard Mo Williams is still keeping both the Heat and the Bucks waiting for his decision on where he will sign. The Bucks offered him a 5-year $40 million contract, while the Heat offered only the mid-level exception, worth $5.3 million.

The Heat could also try to work out a sign and trade with the Milwaukee Bucks to try to get Mo Williams a high Heat salary.

Atkins a Nugget

8-year NBA veteran Chucky Atkins is in Denver and is expected to sign a contract with the Nuggets. Atkins signing in Denver means that Steve Blake is very unlikely to return.

Blake in Holding Pattern

Denver Nuggets free agent point guard Steve Blake is waiting to hear offers from several teams. Blake's situation really depends on where Mo Williams goes. If Williams goes back to the Bucks the Heat will be interested in Blake and vice versa.

Bucks Want Mason Back

The Milwaukee Bucks are making Desmond Mason a high priority in their quest for free agents. They would like to see the swingman return to Milwaukee.

Lakers interested in Mihm

The Los Angeles Lakers look like they want to resign veteran forward Chris Mihm. The Bulls are also serious contenders for Mihm and they may drive the price up over what the Lakers can afford.

Mourning is staying in Miami because he doesn't want his career to end on such a sour note. Portland now got Steve Blake.
