How can you tell if a feather, butterfly, penny, tree, fly, etc is a sign from the other side? Many renowned psychics talk about and write about signs and symbols. Does that mean every time we see a butterfly it means that Granny is thinking about us? Not necessarily.

Signs and symbols are what we make of them. A sign is just that something that means something to you and you alone. If you have a fear of butterflies would a butterfly mean to you that your beloved Granny is sending you a message from the other side? Hardly. So what does the sign mean. Think about it. If you see a penny laying face up on the sidewalk of your home and it reminds you of your great uncle Robert who always had a penny for every one of the kids for the gum ball machine, then likely it is a sign from him.

Are you sure it is a sign? Well, maybe not. Does it comfort you to think about this being a sign from your much love uncle? If so, then why would it not be a sign. After all what does this penny make us do? It makes us think of our uncle. So to take a little step further, let us make sure he is thinking of us. We can think in our minds, 'I love you Uncle Robert.' or 'Uncle Robert thanks for the sign, I knew you were thinking of us.'

So to say one sign means the same thing all the time or every time for every one is impossible. I'd like to tell you a story. I seem to do that a lot, I hope you enjoy them.

My husband's father Jerry died before I met him. It was just shortly before we met actually that he died. I heard many stories from his wife and from my husband to be about a very wonderful man full of life, who loved to make fun things happen around him. He loved to laugh and have people laugh with him. He believed strongly in his native American heritage and always told his children and wife that when he died he would come back as the largest red-tail hawk they had ever seen.
