We own a 6 year old Silky Terrier, and my husband really spoils her rotten. Especially when it comes to feeding her and giving her people food. Now she begs all the time and I find it very annoying. Because he gives her whatever she wants, she has turned into a very fussy eater. My husband gives her a treat, such as a dog biscuit, every time he leaves the house. These not only get expensive, but giving them as often as he does is unhealthy for a small dog. So I started making my own dog biscuits, since I could make them any size I wanted, and I could make them thin. Because our Silky eats canned dog food (another issue we disagree on), her teeth are not in the best shape, and she has problems eating biscuits. Making her own biscuits small and thin was the perfect solution, except for the fact that I grew weary of baking them and they would go moldy before she finished a batch. Then I started freezing some to prevent that problem.

That all changed when I visited my local Pet Zoo Pet Store a few months ago. I found a one pound container of small sized dog biscuits that looked like the perfect size for a toy breed, particularly our Silky Terrier. Knowing how fussy she is when it comes to dog treats, I had my suspicions that I might be throwing my money away, but I wasn't. These are wonderful treats that our dog absolutely loves!

The canister is made of clear plastic, with a wide mouth top measuring 4" in diameter. It's easy to see what these biscuits look like. I dislike buying dog treats from a box since I can't actually see them. Many times they are larger than the picture on the outside of the box, and simply are not suitable for a small dog.

These Dyna-Bones are very small, they measure 1 1/4" long and 3/8" wide. They have the two notches at each end making them look like the typical dog bone. The container has several large bay leaves packed inside with the bones. They are made by Solid Gold Health Products for Pets. Here's what I love about these dog biscuits:

* There is no added sugar
* No preservatives
* No added animal fat
* No animal by-products (heads, feet, etc. that the slaughter houses don't want)
* They are all natural
* Made with quality ingredients

My Hanna doesn't like these - well she doesn't like anything that isn't a really delicious treat. Nice job on the review:)
