Presidential hopeful Fred Thompson is getting press, despite still not having jumped into the race for the White House or coming out with really any views on what he believes.

If Fred's strategy has been to lay low and then get into the ring of presidential contenders, he better change strategy. Some of his opponents are rareing to go on the otherside of the ring, and Fred is still crossing the ropes.

Fred's opponents are not being indecisive on whether or not to let his records and dealings be known. They've already started speaking as to who Fred the politician is, not Fred Thompson, the actor of the TV show "Law and Order".

Fred a former Senator from Tennessee, will be running for the nomination of the Republican Party heading into the primaries, and is said to be conservative, and pro-life. However last week, an article by the LA times was published questioning Fred's involvement in lobbying for a pro-abortion group back in 1991, asking the George H.W. Bush administration to withdraw or relax a rule that barred abortion counseling at clinics that received federal money.

National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association, say that the group hired Thompson that year. Judith DeSarno, who was president of the family planning association in 1991, said Thompson lobbied for the group for several months.

More punches on Fred's record came when Minutemen activist, Dr. Jerome Corsi, who has been active with the Minutemen, a pro-border security group, predicted that Thompson would be very much like George W. Bush on the border issue.

Corsi also says Fred Thompson is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations or CFR, which is a "group of private bankers" who helped pass the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, which created the Federal Reserve who coins and prints currency in the United States, at a price of course.

Fred being a globalist, who would push for open borders are some of the reasons why Corsi believes Fred won't be able to win the Republican nomination or much less the Presidency, when illegal immigration will be a big issue in 2008 election.
