How to Get Rid of Ants
Grant's Kills Ants
At the grocery store, they had pest control products, but none we could have around the dog. We bought some expensive spray but read the label when we got home and discovered it could kill small pets as well as the ants.
Finally, at the hardware store, the wife found a clerk who had pets of his own and he recommended "Grant's Kills Ants". The ant killer is in little plastic containers with a spike on one end to put into the ground. She got creative and stuck the spikes into places on the porches that the dog can't reach. She hid one behind the big, wooden sideboard (where the dog also can't reach). She put one in a tree that was loaded with ants. The ten that came in the package are now reduced to five, but the ants are gone! It worked like magic! She placed the little spiked containers around and the ants vanished. She is now a very happy camper and still has more "Grant's Kills Ants" to use if any of the little varmints come back.
If you're tired of dealing with the overwhelming supply of summer-time ants, get some "Grant's Kills Ants" and give it a try. Be sure to put it where your children and pets can't get into it. High places, under cabinets (locked ones for kids!) or in trees seem to be the best locations for the pest removal experiment.
